Crimson dreamer

Having woken up from a very dark dream
Full of bad things and remembering
He walks through the halls just in search
Making sure there's no trace of the hurt

There's no blood on his hands from his heart
There's no fire on the wood to start
There's no smoke in the air to destroy lungs
There's no monsters to kill all there young

No, in his dream's it was full of screaming
Everyone was gone or in the process of leaving
Blood covered there clothes and body
And every where he looked was foggy

But now it's just dark and quiet
Everyone's sleeping so it's silent
Where should he go, he wonders?
Not back to bed or under the covers

He can't go to his love
Because then there would be questions, all the above
He would have to lie and say I'm okay
No, nothings wrong with me today

But down deep he knows
That if it ever showed
It might actually come true
And then his life and everyone else's, would be through
